With Kunstresidenz (artist-in-residence) in Bad Gastein, curator Andrea von Goetz founded an artist residency that aims to serve as an open space for scholarship holders to unfold artistic souls, providing a scope for inspiration and strength for intense creativity sessions. In the summer months from 2011 to 2018 over 60 artists from Germany and other countries worked in the former hydroelectric power plant of Bad Gastein. The impact of this destination on the artists is showing off in the alterity of their artworks, while still maintaining a common ground due to the similar destination context. The results stand for the kaleidoscope of contemporary art — from performances, sculptures, photography, paintings, drawings to collages and installations. The artworks stand for the experiences at Bad Gastein.
