This is the first guide to Moscow that considers architecture from Khrushchev to Gorbachev as an integrate phenomenon - from naive modernism of the Thaw to postmodernism, including the Palace of Pioneers, the Ostankino TV tower, the Russia cinema, the TASS building, the golden brains of the Academy of Sciences, as well as lesser known projects, for example, "House of New Life" or the AZLK Museum. The authors propose to see these controversial structures in a wide historical, cultural and political context, as well as on the background of world architecture of the second half of 20th century.
