Visitor Guidelines for Ruarts Foundation:
Welcome to the Ruarts Foundation for Contemporary Art! We welcome every guest and want your visit here to be comfortable, safe and enjoyable. Below we have compiled a list of guidelines to help you enjoy the art and the atmosphere of the premises.
- To ensure your safety and comfort the security staff may ask you to show your personal belongings upon entry. All activities within the space are recorded by photo, video and audio. Please note that children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult;
- Please check in backpacks, umbrellas and large items in the cloakroom – this is free of charge and convenient;
- Do not leave personal belongings unattended. If you notice a forgotten or suspicious item, notify the staff – do not touch the items yourself;
- In the event of an accident or if you feel unwell, contact the staff immediately;
- In the event of a fire, use the panic buttons and follow the instructions of the staff;
- Do not cross the barriers;
- Use emergency exits only in case of a fire alarm.
- We are glad if you wish to share your impressions! Personal photos and videos are welcomed;
- Please do not use flash, selfie sticks or additional lighting;

- Photography of other visitors and staff is permitted only with their consent.
- Do not consume food or drink in the exhibition halls;
- Smoking is not allowed on the Foundation’s premises;
- Take care of the exhibits: do not touch the art works or elements of the exhibition;
- Do not leave litter;
- Trade, advertising, fundraising and the display of offensive or extremist symbols are prohibited;
- Damage to or attempted theft of property is punishable by law.
For the safety of guests and the collection, it is prohibited to bring any of the following items:
- weapons and ammunition; sharp or potentially dangerous objects (knives, instruments, etc.);
- sports equipment (bats, rackets, etc.);
- alcohol;
- beverages in bottles larger than 0.33 litres;
- explosive and flammable substances, aerosol paints and varnishes;
- large or strong-smelling objects;
- animals taller than 35 cm at the withers (except for guide dogs). Owners bear full responsibility for their pets.
Please explain the rules to children to make their visit more enjoyable. There is a changing table on the ground floor.
The café, shop and library are accessible without an entrance ticket.
